How do cache & cookies work?
Cookies are files created by websites you visit. They make your online experience easier by saving browsing and login data so you don't have to log in every time you visit a page.
The cache remembers parts of pages, like images, to help them open faster during your next visit.
Clearing cache and cookies can help you resolve many issues, so for your assistance, we have prepared instructions on how to clear cache and cookies based on your browser below:
Chrome for Windows and Mac
In the Chrome app, click the three dots menu in the upper right corner.
Click on More Tools.
Click Clear browsing data...
At the top of the opened window, select the desired time range. To delete everything, select All time.
Check the Cookies and other site data and "Cached images and files checkboxes.
Click the Clear data button, and it's done!
Chrome for Android
In the Chrome app, tap the three dots menu in the upper right corner.
At the bottom of the opened menu, click Settings.
In the Basics section, tap Privacy and Security.
Right at the top, you will see the Clear browsing data option. Open it.
At the top of the opened menu, select the desired time range. To delete everything, select All time.
Check the Cookies and site data and Cached images and files checkboxes.
Tap Clear data, and you're done!
Chrome for iOS
Tap the three dots menu at the bottom in the Chrome app on your iPhone or iPad.
Tap History → Clear browsing data.
Make sure there's a checkmark next to Cookies, Site Data, and Cached Images and Files.
Tap Clear browsing data.
Firefox for Windows and Mac
Click the menu button in the upper right corner (three parallel lines) and open Settings.
Select the Privacy & Security panel on the left.
Scroll down to find the Cookies and Site Data section.
Select the Cookies and Site Data and Cached Web Content.
Click Clear, then confirm it by clicking the Clear Now button in the opened pop-up.
Firefox for Android
Some options may vary based on your Firefox settings and your phone type.
Generally, look for the menu icon (three dots) located at the top right or left right corner:
From the opened menu, find Settings and tap it.
Here, scroll down to find the Delete browsing data button.
This will lead you to the menu where you can customise what you will delete.
Select Cookies and Cached images and files. Just to be sure, you can also select Browsing history and site data if browsing history is not as important to you.
Tap Delete browsing data and confirm the deletion by tapping Delete.
Firefox for iOS
In the Firefox browser, open the menu by tapping three parallel lines at the bottom right corner.
Tap Settings at the bottom of the open menu.
Scroll down to Privacy and tap Data Management.
Check the Cache and Cookies options.
Tap Clear Private Data and confirm it by tapping Ok in the new pop-up window.
Safari for Mac
In the Safari app on your Mac, click Safari → Settings at the top menu, then click Privacy in the opened window.
Here, click Manage Website Data.
Select one or more websites, then click Remove or Remove All and confirm it by clicking Remove Now.
Safari for iOS
To clear your history and cookies, go to Settings on your phone → Safari.
Tap Clear History and Website Data.
To clear your cookies and keep your history, go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data.
Tap Remove All Website Data.
